2. Service Fees Refund Policy

Refunds for service fees may be considered in the following situations:

  • Duplicate charges due to system errors
  • Unauthorized transactions on your account
  • Service failures that prevent you from accessing your account
  • Incorrect fee calculations by our system
  • Account closure within 30 days of opening (account maintenance fees only)

3. Loan Processing Fees

Loan processing fees are generally non-refundable once the loan application has been processed. However, refunds may be considered if:

  • The loan application is rejected due to our internal error
  • Duplicate processing fees were charged
  • You cancel your loan application within 24 hours of submission

4. Interest and Investment Returns

Interest earned on savings accounts and investment returns are not subject to refunds as they represent legitimate earnings on your deposits. However, if interest is calculated incorrectly due to system errors, we will make the necessary adjustments.

5. Transaction Reversals

We can reverse transactions in the following cases:

  • Fraudulent transactions reported within 24 hours
  • System errors that result in incorrect debits
  • Duplicate transactions due to technical issues
  • Transactions made to incorrect recipients due to our system error

6. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer support team within 30 days of the transaction
  2. Provide your account details and transaction reference number
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request with supporting documentation
  4. Allow 5-10 business days for investigation and processing
  5. Receive confirmation of the refund decision via email

7. Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, it will be processed within 5-10 business days. The refund will be credited to the original payment method or your OWODE account, depending on the nature of the transaction.

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally not eligible for refunds:

  • Late payment fees and penalties
  • Third-party charges (bank transfer fees, etc.)
  • Currency conversion fees
  • Account closure fees (after 30 days)
  • Investment losses due to market conditions

9. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with our refund decision, you may escalate the matter to our complaints department. We will review your case within 14 business days and provide a final decision. You also have the right to report unresolved disputes to relevant financial regulatory authorities.

10. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will be communicated through our website and email notifications. The updated policy will apply to all transactions made after the effective date.
